Qualifications & Skills:

Valid AL SPED credential/certification required Prior experience teaching or supporting students with special needs, preferably at the elementary level Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with students, families, and colleagues Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment Solid organizational and time-management abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and modifications according to students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Develop and implement customized lesson plans targeting academic and behavioral goals Conduct assessments to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families Maintain detailed records in alignment with compliance guidelines Foster a supportive, engaging, and structured environment that encourages student growth Enjoy a steady schedule of 35 hours per week across five days, working alongside a supportive team committed to student success.
