Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle grade students as a Special Education Teacher! This onsite role runs through the end of the school year and will allow you to make a lasting difference in the lives of students in grades 3-6, focusing on providing specialized resource support to a small, manageable caseload of 10-12 learners. Your expertise and compassionate approach are needed to inspire and empower these young students, working within a collaborative environment where your skills are truly valued.
Requirements:
Current and valid Special Education Teacher certification for grades K-6. Experience delivering resource-level support in a classroom or small group setting. Passion for fostering an inclusive atmosphere and adapting lessons to diverse learning needs. Strong communication skills for partnering with general education teachers, support staff, and families. Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs effectively. Flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic school environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing individualized and small group instruction to support academic and social-emotional growth. Collaborating with school staff to develop and adapt instructional strategies aligning with student IEPs. Maintaining accurate records and progress documentation for your caseload. Communicating regularly with families regarding student progress and goals. Supporting a positive, inclusive classroom culture. Attending grade-level and special education meetings as required.
