Self-contained classroom at Randolph Park Elementary Grades 1-5 Full Time M-F About the Role Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Self-Contained Special Education Teacher for a school setting in Anniston, AL. In this role, you'll provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students in a structured self-contained classroom. You'll collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary team members while ensuring students receive instruction aligned with their IEP goals and individual needs. • + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses What You'll Do Provide specialized, IEP-driven instruction across academic, behavioral, and functional domains Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with student IEP goals and individual needs Assess student progress and maintain accurate data, reports, and compliance documentation Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment Utilize differentiated instructional and behavior-support strategies Collaborate with and provide classroom direction to 2 paraprofessionals Support students with functional and daily living skills as appropriate Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for IEP development, timelines, and implementation What We're Looking For Hold or be eligible for Alabama Collaborative Special Education Teacher K-6 certification Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution Experience or knowledge supporting students with intensive or individualized support needs Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Self-contained or school-based experience preferred, not required About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women•and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
