Job Description

This contract-to-hire position is ideal for professionals skilled in fostering inclusive learning environments and passionate about advocating for accessibility in education. Youll play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential, equipped with the tools, empathy, and expertise to engage diverse learners.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification with specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education required Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication methods used by Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong understanding of audiology reports and ability to interpret/explain accommodations Demonstrated ability to collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families Exceptional communication, organization, and advocacy skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across various age groups and educational levels Adapt and develop lesson plans tailored to each students abilities and preferred communication modes Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to maximize engagement and growth Serve as a resource to faculty, offering guidance on accommodations, technology, and classroom strategies Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities Foster a safe, empowering classroom environment where every student can thrive academically and socially Imagine making a real difference in students lives while advancing your own professional growth in a supportive school environment.
