Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Special Education Certification for grades K-6 Previous experience teaching in a resource classroom or comparable SPED setting Strong classroom management and communication abilities Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families Enthusiasm for adapting lessons and instructional materials to meet individual student needs Commitment to maintaining compliance with IEPs and all required documentation
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective, differentiated lesson plans for a caseload of 10-12 students in grades 3-6 Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and make instructional adjustments as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and development Foster a welcoming, inclusive class environment that encourages engagement, self-advocacy, and academic achievement Communicate regularly with families and stakeholders regarding student progress Remain current with best practices and professional development related to SPED This position offers the stability of a full-time contract with 37.5 hours per week through the end of the school year, allowing you to focus on meaningful instruction and professional growth in a well-structured setting.
