This position requires flexibility, attentiveness, and a willingness to step in wherever needed. Key Responsibilities 1. Classroom Support Assist lead and assistant teachers with daily activities Help implement lesson plans and engage children in play-based learning Provide one-on-one or small group support when needed 2. Coverage & Ratio Management Step into classrooms to maintain proper staff-to-child ratios Cover teacher breaks, lunches, and absences Transition between age groups (infants, toddlers, Pre-K) 3. Child Supervision Ensure children are supervised at all times Promote a safe, positive, and nurturing environment Help manage behavior using center-approved guidance techniques 4. Health & Safety Follow all licensing and safety regulations (especially Alabama DHR guidelines) Assist with handwashing, diapering, toileting, and feeding Monitor children for signs of illness or distress 5. Classroom Maintenance Clean and sanitize toys, tables, and learning areas Help keep classrooms organized and prepared Assist with meal/snack setup and cleanup 6.
