Job Description

Bring your expertise in special education to an inspiring resource teacher role supporting upper elementary students. This contract opportunity, conveniently located near Leeds, AL, offers you the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of 3rd through 6th graders at a supportive school environment. What You Bring:
Valid Special Education Teacher Certification (K-6 required) Experience working with elementary-aged students in resource classroom settings Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff Excellent organizational and communication skills
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to a caseload of 10-12 students in grades 36, tailoring lessons to meet Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate special education services and promote student success Maintain detailed records of student progress and participate actively in IEP meetings Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and ensure each students growth Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies Participate in ongoing professional development and school initiatives
