e2112-72076 Job Description Make a meaningful difference in the life of a child as a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired in a supportive educational setting near Jacksonville, AR. This full-time, on-site contract position focuses on providing specialized 1:1 instruction and support for a pediatric student, allowing you to make a direct and lasting impact through your expertise and compassion.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is mandatory Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings is highly valued Ability to deliver individualized instruction aligned with each students unique needs Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one instruction and support to a visually impaired student, ensuring access to the general education curriculum Adapt and modify classroom materials for accessibility, utilizing braille, large print, assistive technology, and tactile resources as needed Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals to foster a consistent and inclusive learning environment Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to optimize learning Advocate for the students needs and encourage independence and self-advocacy skills Maintain clear and timely records in accordance with school policies As a valued travel professional in this role, you will enjoy a package that includes comprehensive health and dental insurance, a company-matched 401(k) plan, and competitive weekly payensuring youre supported both in and out of the classroom.
