Duties Develop and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional modifications for students with disabilities or special needs. Deliver individualized instruction using evidence-based strategies such as applied behavior analysis, speech therapy techniques, and behavioral therapy to support diverse learning styles. Manage classroom environments effectively through positive behavior management and classroom management techniques, ensuring a safe and nurturing space for all students. Collaborate with colleagues, specialists (including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavioral health professionals), and parents to design and adapt educational programs that meet each student's IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals. Utilize educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance instruction and student engagement. Conduct assessments, standardized testing, and progress monitoring to evaluate student achievement and inform instructional planning. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior reports, and compliance with educational regulations and special education law. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development or related field; advanced certifications preferred. Proven classroom experience working with children or students with disabilities in early childhood or special education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with special education law, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavior management techniques for students with developmental disabilities or autism. Experience integrating educational technology and learning tools into daily lessons. Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration, team coordination, and student engagement.
