e2112-72118 Job Description Make a positive impact as a dedicated educator serving students with visual impairments in a rewarding full-time, on-site position near North Little Rock, AR. This contract role is designed for individuals passionate about working one-on-one with pediatric learners, supporting them in achieving educational and developmental milestones over a long-term assignment. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply and make a meaningful difference while furthering their career in special education.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree required (B.A. minimum) State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired necessary Experience supporting students 1:1 in pediatric or school-based settings preferred Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional plans Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers Commitment to fostering student independence and confidence
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction and adaptive strategies to address each students unique needs Collaborate closely with IEP teams to ensure individualized objectives are met Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials designed for students with visual impairments Monitor progress, regularly documenting and reporting on student achievements and areas for growth Serve as a resource for colleagues, providing guidance on best practices and visual impairment accommodations Engage with parents and caregivers to reinforce learning and extend support beyond the classroom
