Job Description
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility in accordance with state requirements Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the middle school level Strong understanding of strategies for students with diverse learning needs Ability to implement structured routines, use visual supports, and provide academic accommodations Comfortable collaborating with support staff, related service providers, and general education teachers Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleaguesPrimary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver instruction in a self-contained (STC 2) classroom, meeting individual student goals Create a positive, supportive, and highly organized learning environment with embedded language and visual aids Modify curriculum to ensure all students can access educational content and demonstrate growth Collect data and assess progress towards educational goals and IEP objectives Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student IEPs Foster collaborative relationships with families and guardians, providing regular updatesBenefits:
