The role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Provide engaging instruction to students with various disabilities in a classroom setting. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success. Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet educational goals. Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and comply with district policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. State Special Education Teaching Certification. First Aid/CPR Certification. Child Abuse Prevention Certification. At least 1 year of experience working with special education students. Ability to pass background checks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to adapt to different classroom needs.
