Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your passion for early childhood special education to a vibrant Arizona school community! This full-time contract role centers on delivering impactful instruction to preschool-aged students (ages 3-5), supporting their growth through collaboration, compassion, and expert teaching. Working alongside a dedicated Child Find team, you will provide early identification and targeted intervention that helps each student thrive. With a caseload that may reach up to 40 students (divided between morning and afternoon groups), your expertise will directly influence students' educational and developmental journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized, engaging instruction tailored to preschoolers in both AM and PM sessions Partner with the Child Find team to develop, write, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for newly identified students Ensure IEPs are compliant and responsive to each student's unique needs Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and gather relevant data Play an active role in IEP meetings, collaborative team planning, and essential staff discussions Participate in weekly professional development and planning (Wednesday sessions, no in-class student contact) Maintain ongoing, clear communication with families and related service specialists
Preferred Qualifications:
