Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of young learners by taking on an impactful contract role supporting K-2 students in a self-contained setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification Experience working with K-2 aged children in a self-contained classroom environment preferred Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Strong skills in differentiating instruction and creating individualized learning plans Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators, therapists, and families Positive, patient, and resourceful approach to student engagement Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to K-2 students in a self-contained classroom Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines Collaborate with school teams and families to best support each child's learning and social-emotional growth Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet evolving needs Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment Foster student independence, self-advocacy, and success both academically and behaviorally Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings This contract position offers a rewarding atmosphere, a chance to impact young students' lives, and the support of a dedicated educational community.
