A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

3436 E. Rio Virgin Road, Beaver Dam, AZ 86432 Compensation Salary is based on education and experience and ranges from $41,000 to $53,225 , plus benefits. The successful candidate may also be eligible for up to $10,000 in additional Proposition 301 funding . Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate or proof of eligibility Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtain one Knowledge of Arizona special education laws and requirements Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with staff Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and guardians How to Apply Applications may be picked up at: Littlefield Unified School District Office 3490 E.
