Position Details:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student. Provide instruction in a variety of subjects using Montessori methods and other educational strategies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to promote academic success. Engage in mentoring relationships with students to support their social and emotional development. Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student performance and adapt lesson plans accordingly. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior management strategies implemented in the classroom. Collaborate with other educators and specialists to create an inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred. Certification in Special Education is required for Arizona Experience working with students with autism and other disabilities is highly desirable. Strong proofreading skills for preparing educational materials and documentation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Proven ability in behavior management techniques that foster a positive classroom environment. A passion for mentoring students and helping them reach their full potential.
