Job Description

Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting young learners in a dedicated elementary setting. We're seeking a Special Education Teacher ready to inspire and guide K-3rd grade students in a self-contained classroom. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference for children near Sells, AZ, working closely with a supportive staff and district team. This full-time role runs from ASAP through May 18, 2027, with hours from 7:55am to 2:50pm. Fridays offer a half-day schedule, providing extra flexibility for your week.
Key qualifications:
Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching license (AZ SPED) Current IVP fingerprint clearance card Experience planning and delivering individualized instruction for elementary-age students Strength in classroom management and differentiation Clear communication and collaboration with families and school staff Adaptable, patient, and committed to student-centered learning environments As a Special Education Teacher in this role, you will: Lead a self-contained K-3 classroom, ensuring safety, structure, and positive learning culture Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs Use creative strategies to engage diverse learners and support academic/social growth Collaborate with aides, specialists, and administrators to foster student success Actively participate in IEP meetings and progress monitoring activities Build trusting partnerships with families and communicate updates regularly You'll benefit from a consistent schedule, supportive colleagues, and the chance to make a lasting impact on children's lives.
