9588527-85172 Job Description Step into a meaningful role shaping the educational journey of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher supporting grades K-4. This contract opportunity, running from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, offers the chance to make an impact by delivering high-quality instruction and individualized support to exceptional learners. Your expertise will be valued in fostering student growth and ensuring compliance while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. You'll engage in a varied, fulfilling daily routine that prioritizes student success while building valuable collaborative relationships.
Qualifications:
Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification is required. Experience supporting students in grades K-4 is preferred. Strong understanding of specially designed instruction strategies. Working knowledge of case management responsibilities within a school setting. Expertise in IEP development, implementation, and maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements. Excellent skills in collaboration and consultation with colleagues, families, and related service providers. Ability to collect, analyze, and utilize assessment data to drive instruction.
Responsibilities:
Provide specially designed instruction tailored to individual student needs. Manage assigned caseload, ensuring all educational and compliance requirements are met. Develop, draft, and implement IEPs in accordance with required timelines and regulations. Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive environment. Conduct assessments and use data to inform instructional practices and monitor progress. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and case management.
