Job Description

Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Special Education professional, supporting students in reaching their highest potential. This onsite contract opportunity runs through May 2027 and includes positions in both Structured Teaching Classrooms and Resource Teacher settings. You'll play a vital role in providing tailored instruction and comprehensive support for students requiring individualized education plans (IEPs). Your responsibilities will encompass a spectrum of essential services:
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide case management for students with IEPs, ensuring all documentation and program components meet federal, state, and district regulations. Deliver direct instruction with an individualized approach, adapting teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs. Develop, implement, and monitor a full continuum of services within the special education program. Maintain thorough and accurate student records. Engage in the Response to Intervention (RtI) process, consulting with staff as needed. Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and plans. Apply effective behavior management strategies and implement behavior intervention plans as needed. Collaborate with fellow educators in delivering accommodations and modifications to enhance student learning experiences. Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment where each student feels supported and empowered. Embrace additional duties as assigned to support school-wide goals.
