A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description

Want to make a difference for special needs students, local or near you? Education Specialists earn $50 to $65 per hour on a part-time basis for supplemental income. Flexible scheduling (we work with your availability/schedule) Services offered Monday to Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm or some weekends (Saturday or Sunday). Sessions are typically 1 to 3 times per week. Academic or Transition support services only. NO required IEP meetings/case management Students are local/near you (within 5-10-mile radius) Positions available throughout Riverside County (Beaumont, Banning, Cherry Valley, Calimesa, & surrounding areas)

Qualifications:

Education Specialist (ES) must have current ES credential Direct Academic/Transition support services experience for grades K-12+ Provide direct services (in-person/in-home sessions) to students Must be able to pass background check Tuberculosis Test required To apply, Email or Fax your resume or book a phone interview via
