Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - 26/27 Soliant - 3.9 Berkeley, CA Job Details Full-time $42 - $47 an hour 13 days ago Qualifications Visually impaired education Classroom Teaching Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students requiring braille and Nemeth instruction for the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized, impactful services within a collaborative and student-focused educational environment.

Provide direct instruction in braille and Nemeth code Adapt and modify instructional materials to ensure accessibility Collaborate with teachers, staff, and related service providers Support students in accessing curriculum and developing independent learning skills Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with educational guidelinesRequirements:
Active certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required Experience with braille and Nemeth instruction required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Must be comfortable working onsite If you are passionate about supporting students with visual impairments and want to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.
