Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Credential:
Adaptive Physical Education Added Authorization. The Adaptive Physical Education added authorization is an add-on authorization for the holder of a valid pre-requisite credential, Candidates possessing one of the following pre-requisite credentials and a desire to participate in an Adaptive Physical Education program are encouraged to apply.
Required Pre-Requisite Credentials:
  • Single Subject, Physical Education
  • Multiple Subject
  • Education Specialist.
The base may be preliminary or clear. Individuals holding a pre-requisite credential are required to have completed twelve semester units of physical education coursework and a minimum of three semester units in both kinesiology and motor development to be eligible to enroll in a commission-approved program in for the Adapted Physical Education add-on authorization. All of the following MUST be uploaded to this Edjoin application: Letter of Interest Current Resume Letters of Recommendation (3 preferred with at least one being someone who supervised you) All college transcripts, including BA degree and any beyond.
