PART-TIME CAREGIVERS WANTED

• Day shift/ Split shift A female caregiver is required for this position due to the nature of the client's disability, and for the client's safety.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Clothing

• Assist the client with putting on all clothing items (underwear, shirts, pants, socks, shoes etc.) Personal hygiene
• Responsible for assisting the client with all hygiene care (toothbrushing, showering, bathing, washing hands, nails, etc.) Meal prep / Housekeeping
• Meal preparation is required. Light cooking will be required. Housekeeping matters
• (includes occasionally supporting with laundry duties)
• sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, cleaning urine/feces. Meals
• Responsible for feeding and tracking water intake. Medication
• administer medication consistently at the appropriate time; (also applying ointment and other topical medications as needed) Journal
• responsible for journaling daily logs of events, seizure logs, medication logs. SIR Journal/Communication
• If any suspicion of abuse is present
• communication to appropriate supervisor, family &/or Adult Protection Services is mandated and expected. Eyes on supervision
• Supervise the client to make sure that she does not injure herself or supervise for seizure activity to prevent falls. Caregivers must have eyes on supervision at all times. Crisis Prevention
• de-escalate challenging behaviors that the client presents. (as trained) Interaction
• Participate with the client with her daily activities of puzzles, stickers, blue tape
• any other activities as directed. Transportation
• may require a clean driving record with expectation of transporting the client (2:1 support) to daily outings (Costco/Walmart/Shopping Center/Habit Grill etc.) Transferring Assistance
• will require physically transferring of the client in and out of a vehicle, wheelchair, gurney, bathtub, toilet. Healthy Living Environment
• any task that is required to maintain a healthy/clean living environment for the client and the rest of the team to live/work within. Medical Appointments
• accompany the client (2:1 support) during medical appointments (7am-3pm shift only).

ER VISITS

: Caregivers will accompany and supervise the client during ER visits..

Disclaimer :

The client has very challenging behavioral problems that stem from a breakdown in communication. The client regularly shows this frustration by hitting walls & hitting staff with an open hand. There will be other job duties & tasks can be required for this position that are not listed on this description.

• we have a zero tolerance no show policy. Experience with supporting individuals with autism, epilepsy, developmental disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors is a plus! Current or willingness to complete Seizure Training. Flexibility to cover shifts in cases of emergency. Ability to lift 50 lb., stand and walk for long periods of time
• bend, reach and lift objects
