Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching credential (mild/moderate preferred) Proven classroom experience working with students identified for special education support Strong understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and ability to adapt instruction Exceptional communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture Collaborative approach to working with general education staff, related service providers, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs within a SDC setting Modify curriculum and instructional techniques to suit learners requiring mild to moderate support Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings, maintaining up-to-date documentation Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and school teams Create a welcoming, supportive environment that encourages student growth and independence Facilitate positive behavioral interventions and maintain classroom management Collaborate with colleagues to provide the best outcomes for students This contract role offers stability through a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week and the possibility of a direct-hire opportunity for those who excel.
