Qualifications & Experience Sought:

Valid California state license relevant to Assistive Technology Specialist or Special Education Teacher roles (CA License required) Strong background in special education, assistive technology, or a related discipline Previous experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting assistive technology devices in K-12 settings Skilled at training educators and staff on the effective use of AT devices and software Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to travel between multiple educational sites as needed

Responsibilities:

Assess student needs and recommend appropriate assistive technology solutions to support learning and participation Conduct individualized and group trainings for staff on the use of assistive technology devices and applications Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and administrators to develop and implement tailored AT strategies Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and device maintenance Monitor and document student progress with AT interventions, making adjustments as needed Ensure compliance with state and district requirements regarding assistive technology
