9651034-92880 Job Description Step into a rewarding educational role dedicated to supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in the vibrant Riverside area. Bring your expertise as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and positively impact K-12 students throughout the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time opportunity provides you with 37.5 hours per week to design, implement, and adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of your students, promoting both academic growth and self-confidence. Ideal candidates bring a wealth of passion and experience to their classroom, collaborating with educational teams and families to help each student thrive. This is your chance to provide meaningful, individualized support while working across a diverse caseload from kindergarten through high school.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching credential authorizing service as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in K-12 settings Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction Collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive education Ability to facilitate communication between students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support tailored to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations Foster an accessible, engaging learning environment Consult with general education teachers, specialists, and administrators Support students in academic, language, and social development Engage families as partners in their childrens education Enjoy the satisfaction of making a real difference every day in a collaborative school setting.
