Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract role as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, providing essential educational support to students in a dynamic school setting near Corona, CA. This full-time position (for the full school year) offers you the opportunity to work closely with students who are visually impaired, helping them access curriculum, develop independence, and thrive in an inclusive academic environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Active and valid teaching license as required for Teachers of the Visually Impaired Experience or strong interest in working with students who are blind or have low vision Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive instructional techniques Excellent communication skills for collaboration with classroom teachers, families, and other support staff A commitment to fostering a positive, accessible, and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities Include:

Designing and delivering specialized instruction tailored to students' individual needs Assessing students' abilities and developing appropriate instructional plans Teaching Braille, orientation and mobility skills, and the use of assistive devices Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to support student success Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of educational plans Monitoring and documenting progress to ensure achievement of educational goals This role not only offers the fulfillment that comes from making a difference in students' lives, but also provides the chance to grow professionally within a supportive educational community.
