A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
What We Offer Monday-Friday (between the hours of 7:30am-4pm) Starting pay - $55 / hour (negotiable) Travel Package available if eligible 35-40 hours a week full time or part time Medical, Dental, Vision benefits availableResponsibilities Prepares student education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members. Designs instruction, both individual and small group, which parallels the general education curriculum. Serves as the coordinator of IEP implementation with general education staff. Monitors student progress, participates in review and revision of students IEP, as appropriate. Other Special Education Teacher related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelors Degree from accredited college or university with an emphasis in appropriate field.
