The ideal candidate will provide individualized home-based intervention services designed to support children's development and enhance family engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement intervention services tailored to each child's strengths, needs, and preferences as outlined in their Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) . Support children in developing gross and fine motor skills, independence, cognitive abilities, social competence, and emotional growth . Assist parents in fostering effective parenting strategies that nurture their child's development. Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support children with disabilities. Receive training from a Behavior Specialist to implement evidence-based teaching methodologies, particularly for children with autism. Conduct structured teaching sessions in the child's home environment. Implement modifications to the child's home program as directed by the Behavior Specialist . Maintain accurate records by collecting daily data on program goals and interventions. Promote independence and equip children with the skills necessary for a successful and fulfilling life.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Early Education, or any other related area. Experience working with young children, preferably those with developmental disabilities. Background in early childhood education, psychology, special education, or a related field . Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members. Ability to adapt and implement individualized intervention strategies. Willingness to receive training and apply behavior intervention techniques. Reliable transportation to conduct in-home sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children with disabilities or implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies . Bilingual skills are a plus.
