9550802-94536 Job Description Make a difference for students by providing vital support as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in an onsite, contract role. This opportunity involves working itinerantly across multiple school sites, helping to ensure each student receives the personalized instruction they need to thrive. The position runs from August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Youll be providing in-person services, replacing a prior virtual DHH setup, and collaborating closely with school staff to create positive outcomes.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Current, active Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification or license in California Experience supporting DHH students in classroom and itinerant settings, preferably within California schools Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and multiple school assignments efficiently Clear communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, in-person instruction to DHH students across multiple school sites, tailoring teaching methods to individual needs and IEPs Consult with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusion and access Monitor student progress and provide timely reporting and feedback Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and parent conferences as needed Travel between assigned school locations, maintaining a consistent and reliable presence This position allows you to see the impact of your work firsthand, offering a rewarding experience supporting school communities and helping students reach their full potential.
