Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher. This position focuses on students in grades K-6 within an RSP (Resource Specialist Program) classroom setting. You'll work closely with a manageable caseload of 13 students, providing individualized support and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education Teaching Credential Experience working with elementary school-aged children, preferably in a Resource Specialist or similar environment Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted instructional support for students in grades K-6 as part of an RSP program Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum, materials, and classroom environments Communicate regularly with families, counselors, and support staff regarding student progress and needs Maintain accurate records, document student growth, and prepare progress reports as necessary Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning atmosphere for all students
