Job Description
Openings include:
Full-time position (40 hours per week) split between two elementary schools beginning October 5th and extending through the end of the school year. Part-time position (1 day a week, 8 hours) at a single elementary site, available for immediate start until the end of the school year.Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching credential, with authorization for Mild/Moderate disabilities. Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Previous experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher, ideally within the elementary age range. Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with general educators, specialist teams, and families. Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction for students with mild to moderate needs in resource or inclusive settings. Assess student abilities, plan targeted lessons, and document progress in accordance with IEP goals. Advocate for students' learning and access to curriculum, collaborating with colleagues and parents. Maintain organized records and coordinate meetings for student progress updates. Adapt curriculum materials and manage related classroom paperwork effectively.Perks and Advantages:
