Key Qualifications:

Valid certification in teaching students with visual impairments or equivalent credential Demonstrated experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, preferably in K-12 settings Proficiency with Braille and assistive technology for visually impaired learners Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Compassion, adaptability, and dedication to student advocacy

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct, individualized instruction to visually impaired students across multiple grades Design and adapt curriculum, materials, and learning environments to optimize accessibility Assess students needs and progress, maintaining accurate and timely documentation Collaborate with general and special education teachers, administrators, and families Train and support school staff in strategies and technology for students with visual impairments Participate in IEP meetings, contributing recommendations and progress reports Foster an inclusive classroom and promote independence, self-advocacy, and confidence in students Enjoy the opportunity to make a difference in a professional atmosphere that values your expertise and commitment.
