Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Special Education Teacher who is willing to work with our incredible students. Qualified candidates must have a Mild/Mod Special Education Credential or be intern eligible. Must be flexible and willing to work as a part of a team. Individuals who are creative and out-of-the-box thinkers are most successful on our campus. Our base pay will start at $65,000 per year and increases with years of teaching experience, education, preliminary and cleared credentials and Masters Degrees in education or related field of study. Olive Crest Academy has been serving children from Kindergarten through High School for decades. Our campus environment includes a robust team of professionals to meet every students educational and mental health needs. Every classroom as a minimum of 1 para educator, therapist and behavior management specialist. Every student has access to weekly individual and group counseling, and speech therapy.
