Preschool Co-Teacher North County San Diego, CA | Part-Time | $30/hour | August 2025•June 2026 About Us We are a nature-based, outdoor-focused home preschool located in North County San Diego, California. Rooted in the belief that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful connection with the natural world, we are opening our doors this Fall and are looking for a warm, passionate, and experienced Co-Teacher to join our team and help us create something truly magical for our little ones. Full-Time, School Year About the Role As a Co-Teacher you will work closely alongside the school director to plan, implement, and bring to life a nature-based curriculum rooted in play, creativity, and connection. This is a hands-on, heart-forward role for someone who is not just looking for a job, but a calling. You will be a co-creator of something truly special from the very beginning. What You'll Do Collaborate with the school director to plan and implement our nature-based curriculum, including daily circle time, rhythm, songs, and seasonal themes Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans with intention and creativity Foster every child's social, emotional, and cognitive development Maintain active supervision of children at all times — always knowing where each child is Bring enthusiasm, warmth, and creativity to outdoor learning every single day Present fresh ideas for supplementing and enriching the curriculum regularly Document and reflect on children's learning journeys Keep our school space magical, beautiful, clean, and organized Communicate openly with the school director about any child or parent interactions Use positive, respectful language with children and adults at all times Who You Are You have a genuine love and passion for working with young children You are creative, flexible, patient, and full of positive energy You thrive in a collaborative, co-teaching environment You are comfortable and enthusiastic about outdoor and nature-based learning in all weather You communicate openly and professionally with families and colleagues You show up on time, prepared, and ready to give your best every day You are a natural nurturer with a calm, grounded presence You take initiative and bring ideas to the table Requirements Experience working with preschool-age children (2-5 years old) Comfortable in a home-based, intimate school setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Livescan fingerprint clearance required before start date CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain before start date) ECE units or coursework preferred but not required — passion, experience, and character matter most!
