This contract role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, concluding on June 9, 2027. Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education Teaching Credential with authorization for extensive support needs Demonstrated experience in special education, particularly with students on the autism spectrum Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

Lead an elementary classroom currently serving 11 students (with the possibility of adjustment throughout the year) Provide direct instruction, behavioral support, and curriculum modification for learners with autism and significant support needs Develop and implement IEPs in coordination with therapists, specialists, and families Maintain consistent engagement with parents or guardians regarding student progress and needs Document interventions, track progress, and contribute to a positive classroom culture Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development Enjoy the stability of a full-time schedule, working five days per week within a supportive school setting.
