Ideal candidates are experienced, proactive, collaborative, and committed to providing individualized, high-quality instruction and care. The Special Education Teacher SPED is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities, ensuring they receive the appropriate educational services in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role involves collaborating with other educators, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid state teaching certification in Special Education with Mild/Mod Credential Knowledge of IDEA and the California Education Code Must be willing to undergo a criminal background clearance and Livescan fingerprinting through the California Department of Justice and FBI TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Willingness to complete all necessary ILP and state-mandated trainings during onboarding
Key Responsibilities:
