This role offers an exciting opportunity to support complex family law and personal injury cases, ensuring smooth case management and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and possess a strong foundation in legal support functions, with a passion for helping clients navigate sensitive legal matters. This paid position provides valuable experience in a fast-paced environment committed to professional growth and client advocacy. Duties Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to family law and personal injury cases Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and Westlaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Conduct legal research on topics including estate planning, workers' compensation law, and more to support case strategies Coordinate client interviews and gather essential information through effective interviewing techniques Maintain meticulous records of case activities, court deadlines, filings, and client communications Support litigation processes by reviewing documents, preparing discovery requests, and organizing evidence for civil litigation support Utilize legal software such as PCLaw for billing and case management tasks while ensuring data entry accuracy Requirements Proven paralegal experience 10+ years with a focus on family law and personal injury law; familiarity with general & commercial litigation is a plus Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal research methods (Westlaw), and document review procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, WordPerfect) along with experience using document management systems like iManage or Legal Case Management platforms Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Experience supporting attorneys in preparing legal drafts, proofreading documents, and managing filings accurately Must have own vehicle for transportation and insurance for vehicle Knowledge of various areas of law including estate planning and workers' compensation is advantageous Join our team to make a meaningful impact by providing top-tier legal support in family law and personal injury cases!
