Previous experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in school-based roles Familiarity with early childhood education and autism spectrum disorders Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families Patience, creativity, and adaptability in classroom settings Commitment to building trusting relationships with students and supporting their goals Key responsibilities: Assist lead teachers in implementing classroom activities and individualized supports Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to preschoolers with autism Foster a safe, positive environment that encourages engagement and independence Reinforce learning and behavior plans as established by the educational team Help with classroom organization, materials preparation, and transitions between activities Contribute to open, respectful communication with all team members In addition to a starting rate of $24 per hour or higher, enjoy premium weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
