9606803-95240 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher for a high school ESN (moderate/severe) program this academic year. This role focuses on providing tailored educational support to a small class of nine students in grades 9-12. The assignment runs from August 6 through June 3, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with moderate to severe special needs in a structured classroom setting. Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with related service providers and families. Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet each students unique learning requirements. Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment. Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administrators regarding student progress and goals. Maintain accurate records of student achievement and behavioral progress.

Qualifications:

Valid California Special Education Credential for moderate/severe disabilities (ESN). Experience supporting high school students with significant needs preferred. Thorough understanding of IEP development and implementation. Strong organizational and communication skills. Collaborative approach and a commitment to student-centered teaching.
