Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or relevant credentials Experience working with students who have visual impairments in school settings Strong understanding of adaptive technology, Braille, and accessible educational materials Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams Organized, flexible, and committed to student-centered instruction

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments, in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust educational plans as needed Support the use of specialized materials, equipment, and technology that aid student learning Consult with classroom teachers and staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively implemented Provide guidance to families on supporting learning and accessibility at home Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided This opportunity offers the chance to truly make a difference in students' educational journeys while collaborating with a supportive special education team.
