Special Education Teacher in Milpitas, CA Go Spindle - 2.5 Milpitas, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $40 - $60 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Working with students Classroom experience Working with students with special education needs Classroom Teaching Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a lasting impact in the lives of students by supporting their unique educational needs. This full-time contract opportunity is located near Milpitas, CA, and runs from August 13, 2026, through June 8, 2027. You will play an essential role in providing quality instruction to a caseload of students with moderate to severe needs (ESN). Your expertise and compassion will help create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid, active California Special Education Teaching Credential (mod/severe) is required Previous experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred Strong understanding of curriculum modifications, IEP development, and best practices in special education Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, families, and administrators Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Passionate about making a difference in the lives of exceptional learners
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to students' IEP goals Develop and implement lesson plans that address various learning styles and abilities Conduct regular assessments and maintain thorough documentation on student progress Foster a positive, nurturing classroom climate that promotes growth and achievement Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as an educational resource for parents and colleagues This contract brings a pay range of $40-$60 per hour, commensurate with your experience and certifications.
