9681603-92553 Job Description Make a real impact by supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic contract position available immediately and continuing through December, with the possibility of extension. This opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced with moderate to severe behaviors and passionate about helping students thrive. You'll work with a bright group of 17 students in grades 3-5 who benefit from expert guidance and consistency. Your schedule will be 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM each weekday, including a 30-minute lunch break. Youll step into a classroom environment where your skills in managing challenging behaviors will be highly valued, and every day brings new opportunities to make a difference. What we're looking for: Current credentials as a Special Education Teacher, or eligibility for licensure in California Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in grades 3-5 Proven expertise in handling moderate to severe behavioral needs Strong understanding of IEPs and individualized instruction Ability to build positive, effective relationships with students and support staff Flexibility and resilience in adapting to changing classroom environments Willingness to support a classroom as an extended substitute, with openness to extension What youll be doing: Providing instruction, accommodations, and modifications to meet diverse learning needs Developing and maintaining individualized education plans (IEPs) Implementing behavior intervention plans and positive behavioral supports Fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere Collaborating with general education staff and multidisciplinary teams Engaging families and caregivers in student progress You'll receive compensation starting at $38+ per hour, depending on experience, in a highly rewarding educational setting.
