Job Description

Embark on a rewarding assignment making a meaningful impact as an Assistive Technology Specialist. This contract role is based onsite, supporting students and staff across multiple locations. If you have a passion for special education, proficiency in assistive technology, and a desire to empower both learners and educators, this is an ideal opportunity to utilize your expertise while collaborating with a dynamic and dedicated team.
Key Qualifications:
Valid California licensure specific to Assistive Technology or Special Education Experience as an Assistive Technology Specialist and/or Special Education Teacher strongly preferred Thorough knowledge of a wide range of assistive technology devices, tools, and applications Ability to train staff and provide ongoing support in implementing AT solutions Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability when working across various school sites Previous experience in education settings and familiarity with state or district regulations
Core Responsibilities:
Travel to multiple sites each week, assessing and implementing appropriate assistive technology solutions for students with diverse needs Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and support staff to identify technology resources that enhance student learning Design and lead training sessions for staff to promote effective use of AT devices and software Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide continuous support to ensure successful integration into the classroom Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress observed Stay current with emerging assistive technology trends and compliance with state-specific requirements Whats in it for you? Compensation for this position ranges from $35.00 to $60.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
