REQUIRED CREDENTIAL
Have a valid Clear or Level II California Teaching Credential and at least three (3) years of teaching experience. Authorization to teach English Language Learners.

Facilitate engaging and hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration among students. Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse needs of learning styles of students, ensuring equitable access to STEAM education for all learners. Integrate digital tools, resources, and emerging technologies to enhance instruction and provide authentic learning experiences in STEAM disciplines. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and external partners to align STEAM initiatives with school goals, participate in interdisciplinary projects, and share best practices. Develop and implement formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning and growth in STEAM competencies, and use data to inform instructional decisions. Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to inquiry-based learning, experimentation, and exploration in STEAM subjects. Foster positive relationships with parents, families, and the broader community to promote awareness of STEAM education and advocate for its importance in preparing students for future success. STEAM Teacher position is a 1-year assignment, aligned with LCAP.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an engaging and interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates concepts from science, technology, engineering arts, and mathematics. Facilitate hands-on learning experiences that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills among students. Design and deliver lessons that align with curriculum standards and objectives, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of learners. Oversee the management of STEAM-related materials, equipment, and resources, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment. Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and community partners to enhance STEAM education initiatives and promote student success. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with emerging trends and best practices in STEAM education. Inspire curiosity, innovation, and a passion for lifelong learning in students through engaging and enriching educational experiences. Instruction, inquiry lessons, and assessments aligned to "CAST".
