Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description

We are Currently looking for Special Education Teacher for
SY 2026-27
for Ramona CA , you will play a crucial role in providing tailored education and support to students with diverse learning needs. Your expertise in special education will help create an inclusive and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
Note:
Must have M/M or M/S (ESN) Credentials for CA State.
Joining Bonus:
$1500 Starting August 2026 Duties Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs Implement specialized teaching techniques to address various learning challenges Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student progress Utilize behavioral management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences Qualifications Experience in special education or related fields such as childhood development or behavioral health Knowledge of classroom management techniques tailored for students with special needs Familiarity with educational approaches like Montessori or working with children with autism Understanding of child welfare and the importance of creating a safe and supportive learning environment Ability to administer and interpret standardized testing to evaluate student performance
