Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

~ High school diploma or equivalent. ~ One (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in a special educational setting or child care setting is highly desirable and/or supplement by courses in child care, supervision, psychology or guidance; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. ~

Requirements:

a) Verification of two years of college and/or 48 semester units demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and mathematics b) Possession of an Associate's Degree or possession of a Bachelor's Degree demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and mathematics c) If the applicant does not have a or b listed above then they must Pass the District Paraprofessional proficiency examination (which is a formal state or local academic assessment).

Interested applicants are required to submit the following: ~ Apply via EdJoin ~ Copy of High school diploma or equivalent. ~ Copy of Standard CPR and First aid certification ~ Copy of college transcripts to verify two years of college and/or 48 semester units; or possession of an Associate's Degree or possession of a Bachelor's Degree demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing the core areas of reading, writing, and mathematics ~ If you have taken the exam for Paraprofessionals exam with a passing score of 70% within the last two years, Human Resources will verify your testing score and you will not need to take the District exam for this position.
