Key Qualifications & Experience:

Experience supporting students as a paraprofessional or aide, preferably in a school setting Ability to work effectively in both self-contained classrooms and with students requiring targeted academic support Excellent communication and teamwork skills with educators, students, and families Strong sense of empathy, patience, and adaptability Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct classroom support to teachers and students in self-contained special education settings Offer specialized academic assistance to higher-functioning students to support their growth and independence Adapt instructional materials and activities under the guidance of classroom teachers Assist with behavior management, daily routines, and promote student engagement Collaborate with educational staff to help implement individualized learning plans Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere
