Desired Qualifications:
Valid California teaching credential with Visually Impaired (VI) endorsement Previous experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, preferably in a K-12 setting Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families Ability to travel between school locations as part of an itinerant schedule Commitment to inclusive education and individualized learning plans
What Youll Do:
Deliver direct instruction to visually impaired students as outlined in their IEPs Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to adapt materials and strategies Assess student progress and adjust teaching approaches as needed Provide consultation and support to school teams to ensure accessibility and compliance Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and ongoing team planning
