This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside an experienced team of educators while helping students with visual impairments achieve academic success and greater independence. This position requires in-person services and collaboration with students, families, and school staff across multiple educational settings. Assignment Details Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday-Friday schedule Hours approximately 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM School year contract through June 2027 Support students across two school sites Collaborate with a team of three TVIs Caseload of approximately 18 students Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments Assess student needs and develop appropriate educational programming Support access to curriculum through assistive technology, braille, and adapted materials as needed Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation Promote student independence, self-advocacy, and academic achievement Required Qualifications Valid California Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) Credential Current TB clearance Live Scan clearance Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to travel between assigned school locations If you're passionate about helping students with visual impairments thrive in the classroom and beyond, we'd love to connect with you.
